To get good photos, come here .. anytime. Maybe even a few times. For example, day and evening. However, for high-quality images (panoramic or by night), it is better to use a tripod and good lens.

We especially recommend the so-called "White Nights Time" - approximately from the end of May to the middle of July. The best time for romantic walks and photos during this period is early morning, about 4 - 4:30AM. In the pre-dawn, the city looks particularly magical.

Opening hours of Cathedral is from 10:30 till 18:00. Evening admission 18:00 – 22:30 (May, 1 – September, 30). Purchasing tickets and admission is terminated 30 minutes before the museum is closed. Any wednesday is day off. Please check the current schedule here (click and scroll)

In high season (from spring to autumn) to avoid lines, we advise buying ENTRY TICKETS online in advance or at the ticket machine.

Beware of scammers! In the Internet there are many websites selling entry tickets to Cathedral. At a minimum, you will overpay; at the maximum, you will not receive a ticket (or the ticket will be fake). Please buy only from an authorized seller at the link above!

But, interesting things await you not only on the main streets and squares. We advise you just leisurely walk along the embankments of small rivers and take a look at the sights that are not in the classic guidebooks. We will help you!

If you are walking in the afternoon / morning / evening (not at night), then metro is the best way!

This is the heart of the city. Here you will see almost all the famous tourist attractions of St Petersburg: the main avenue and the main square of the city - Nevsky Prospekt, Kazan Cathedral, Palace Square and Hermitage, St Isaac`s Cathedral, Equestrian statue of Peter the Great (Bronze Horseman) and much more!

Well, a taxi is almost the only way to get around the city at night. Don`t worry - it's easy and inexpensive. Click on the tab `taxi` to learn more.

Ground transportation is suitable in the afternoon / morning / evening (not at night) for short distances and when there are no metro stations nearby, except for suburban and intercity buses.
Traffic in St Petersburg can be very dense, so if possible, we recommend that you use the metro for travel through city.

It should be remembered that traffic in St Petersburg can be very dense, so if possible, we recommend that you use the metro for travel through city.
Taxi is the best way to travel at night or when public transport is not available. If you follow the safety rules and our recommendations, it will be easy and inexpensive.
